Arte Povera

Arte Povera was an art movement that originated in Italy in the late 1960s. The literal translation is "Poor Art." Artists used non-traditional art mediums to create their artworks. Instead of choosing paint and canvas, they chose grass, wood, stone, and other natural elements. Sometimes they used rags and other items commonly found around the house to create their artwork.
