I LOVE Bob Ross. Not sure when I first found Mr Ross, but I can remember watching, with awe, this unbelievably talented man throwing together these incredible landscape paintings in under 30 minutes. They were colorful and fun, a place far away from problems. And with his soft-spoken voice and the words he would say, I can remember thinking, even as a small child, that I could do that too.
And yet, here as a 40+ year old mom, I had never even attempted a Bob Ross tutorial, until now. Even though Mr Ross is no longer with us, his legacy lives on. A retired drill sergeant turned artist, this gentleman never had any formal art classes (that I know of ), again proving that ANYONE can create beautiful art. On top of his unique style and beautiful paintings, he was the voice of encouragement for many to at least TRY to paint, too.
I completed the "Autumn Fantasy" tutorial, and here is my final product. I did use acrylics instead of oils, which has it's pluses and minuses, but I recommend you use what feels most comfortable for you.
