If you have ever seen Roman Mosaics? They are so incredibly beautiful! Many of them have held up so well through the years. When viewed today, it is hard to believe they are thousands of years old.
Mosaics are so unique, too. Creating a picture or design using tiles or glass - I often wonder who thought of using such a medium to create such amazing works of art.
Mosaics are still a popular medium to work in. Many people think of stepping stones in gardens or large murals on the sides of a building. In this video I give some ideas of how to play with mosaics with kids of all ages - from working with construction paper to working with stones or tiles. I hope you have fun playing with this art style to create something beautiful!
